Tinubu Square Group, a software provider for the credit and surety industry, has announced new key hires at its Americas business and its C-suite product and technology team.
Jessica Mann has been appointed as general manager of Tinubu Square Americas (TSA), and Aurélien Pelletier has been appointed as Tinubu Square’s chief product and technology officer (CPTO).
In her new role, Mann will implement Tinubu’s strategic business plan in the Americas, with responsibility over P&L, business growth in all defined market segments and products, and ensuring customer retention.
In a press statement, Tinubu said that Mann brings to TSA a rich background in surety management and underwriting.
Notably, her most recent role was with Everest Insurance as vice president and head of commercial surety, where she led Everest’s expansion of its commercial surety business.
Mann also has surety management and underwriting experience with Aspen Insurance; Argo Group; McGriff, Seibels & Williams; and Zurich Financial Services.
She graduated with a BA from the University of Vermont and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona, US.
Jérôme Pezé, co-founder and CEO of Tinubu Square Group, said that TSA currently processes around 50% of the bonds issued in the US, and seeks to expand its footprint throughout the western hemisphere.
“Tinubu Square Group continues to demonstrate its long-term commitment to North America, with more than $20 milion investments over the last two years, which led to the quadrupling of its revenue base and a massive increase in its human capital resources,” said Pezé.
“Now, it is time to set a strong leadership in the US to deliver the amazing potential ahead of us.
“Jessica Mann is the right leader as the Americas team leverages its existing platforms and in-development product and service initiatives for surety carriers and bond producers.”
“TSA is now a key contributor to the group’s R&D effort, which ensures our technology edge in the credit and surety industry. TSA will also lead the development of Tinubu in Latin America.”
Product and technology focus
In other news, Tinubu Square Group has appointed Aurélien Pelletier as its new chief product and technology officer.
In a press statement, Tinubu Square said that Pelletier will aim to accelerate the group’s progression as a high-performance “software factory”.
Pelletier will drive Tinubu’s product evolution toward an end-to-end technological platform, referred to as a “Digital Highway”, that will connect the entire ecosystem of Tinubu’s credit insurance and surety customers.
With a 10-year track record in C-suite positions, and more than 20 years’ experience working in the tech industry, Pelletier brings to Tinubu extensive knowledge of software design and delivery.
In the early 2000s, for example, Pelletier worked in the software consulting and innovation services field for Atos.
In 2012, Pelletier joined Sfeir as a chief technology officer (CTO), and from 2017 to 2020, Pelletier became the CTO of PrestaShop, an open-source e-commerce solution.
In a press statement, Tinubu said that Pelletier has deep experience in Agile methodologies, DevOps, continuous delivery, open sources, cloud computing, and Web APIs.
Olivier Placca, deputy CEO of Tinubu Square, said: “We are continuously working at strengthening the technological side of Tinubu’s solutions, and having onboard someone like Aurélien, who masters the most advanced technologies and methodologies, is what we were looking for.
“He is a great asset and resource to keep improving our ability to bring best-in-class technology to our customers through our SaaS platform.”
