LONDON – Robin Abrams, director at Trade Finance Global (TFG) – the world’s leading trade finance platform – has been appointed to the newly established Expert Panel at the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS).
The Financial Ombudsman Service was granted additional powers to look into complaints from small businesses in 2019, and now offers a dedicated dispute resolution service to settle complaints between businesses and financial services providers.
The Expert Panel supports the business team in their work, by providing specialist advice on financial products and services. The role of a panel member is to advise on the technical areas relevant to a FOS case.
Robin Abrams, who also chairs the Banking & Finance Policy Unit at the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), said:
“The FOS continues to develop its service for businesses across a range of financial products – including complex lending and business structures.”
The panel of five members is made up of technical experts from insurance, lending, refinancing/restructuring, insolvency, accounting, and tax sectors.
