Issue 16 . Oct 2020
This report presents an updated report on the use of distributed ledger technology (DLT) in international trade, revisiting projects from the first edition of the Periodic Table of DLT in Trade published in late 2019. The report examines the progress and setbacks of these projects, noting an industry-wide shift towards trade digitalisation. Several new initiatives are also introduced, reflecting steady industry progress despite the unknown long-term implications of the COVID-19 pandemic. The publication invites readers to share knowledge about other DLT projects and acknowledges contributions from key industry figures, emphasising the collaborative effort needed to shape the future of trade digitalisation. This edition aims to capture the current state of the industry and inspire continued innovation and engagement.
